WACF Tone (revisited)

I've been working on a software project for guitar that models vintage gear and I've been lucky to have some great finds. One of the questions that I have been able to make some decent progress on is the tone behind WACF. It's obviously different from the other albums as each album is to the next, but there was always something elusive about it.

Take a listen to this clip compared to the original isolated guitar: https://soundcloud.com/themusicologygro ... comparison

Wow cool! Kinda fascinated by the iso track, went and YouTubed it. Whoa. Tx for posting man! What's your setup?

Agreed, it's a pretty good track! My setup is pure software so guitar >> phone >> DAW. I used an SG since it's the closest I have to a Destroyer and a Jam audio interface into the phone. In the app I'm running a '68 plexi with blended cabs mixing 20/25W greenbacks.
