The GE-10s were most likely acquired in Japan in June of '78 (where they are seen for the first time), so it could not have been on the VH1 recordings. That said, one can be seen on the VH2 sessions pedalboard. Before Japan '78 (and for part of it) the EQ was the very noisy (but awesome sounding) MXR 6 band. I do not recall ever seeing the GE-10 again in '79 or beyond.
There is a book about it. Japanese journalists followed the band around, and a book was made recently. Tons of big, high quality pictures.
