Boss 1979 GE10 and various pickups

Only just got around to trying one of these. Better late than ever! Great all round EQ that I can see will get use outside of VH tones. Most of the vid is too gainy until the end.

The GE-10s were most likely acquired in Japan in June of '78 (where they are seen for the first time), so it could not have been on the VH1 recordings. That said, one can be seen on the VH2 sessions pedalboard. Before Japan '78 (and for part of it) the EQ was the very noisy (but awesome sounding) MXR 6 band. I do not recall ever seeing the GE-10 again in '79 or beyond.

Yeah I remember reading an interview when he talked about buying gear in Japan ‘78. That’s when he got the Boss EQs. I bet Ed would have had a ball buying gadgets there at that time!

There is a book about it. Japanese journalists followed the band around, and a book was made recently. Tons of big, high quality pictures. You see the band in music stores, etc.
