Echoplex pre-amp for Fair Warning

Just getting started in my search for that Fair warning sound! Anyone have a suggestion on where my Echoplex pre-amp should be set??

I would suggest last in the chain before the amp to minimize signal loss.

What makes you think there was an Echoplex used on Fair Warning?
