70s vs 80s Boss/Roland GE-10

I'm looking to drop some cash on a GE-10 to fully complete my EVH rig, and I was wondering if there are variations in the circuit of these EQs across years of production? Or are the ones made in the 80s identical to the ones made in the late 70s that Ed used? Also what is the verdict on the 100v version versus 117v? Seems like the 100v version should still be fine to use in the US? Thanks and rest in peace to the king of six strings!
