EVH flanger and phaser vs original '70s MXR flanger and phaser

How close do the modern EVH versions come to the original MXR pedals made in the '70s? The new EVH versions sound pretty good to my ear, but I have never had the fortune of trying the original '70s versions of the pedals. Seems like if they were good enough for Ed, then they should be pretty accurate. But then again, Ed wasn't really so focused on recreating his original tone given that he never went back to his original rig from 90s onward it seems

The modern versions are pretty good, but they make due with less than accurate modern parts. The corded MXR Flanger sounds phenomenal with its original SAD1024 chip. For Phase 90s the most accurate ones for the money are early block logo versions as they are identical circuit wise, I have all the OG MXR stuff and it they sound great and are easy to true bypass with a DPDT switch.
So you think your Mesa-Boogie is cool? You won't even be able to hear it over my Marshall Superlead
