Metroamp Vintage Split Turrets Drill Bit Size

Post by wrea398 » Mon Feb 08, 2010 5:54 pm

Just received my vintage style split turrets from Metroamp. The 3/32 advertised hole size is too small. Anyone know what works for a nice fit? Must be metric. 2.6mm? Also tried a #36 bit (6-32) and it is too small as well. I want a nice tight fit that I can push in firmly with my fingers. Any ideas? Thanks!

We use 2.6mm here in the shop, but we press them in.

Thanks George. I ordered 2.6mm, 2.7mm, 2.8mm and 2.9mm to see which I prefer. Thanks for the information.
