Finally!

Well, it's been a long haul but I just completed my parts search for a '69 100w board. Pihers, Mustards, Eries, Lemcos and Welwyns. Yeah, I could have a 500pf and a 250pf Lemco but they are very hard to find in this form. I can figure something out with my 560s, 256 and 270. The other matching .22uf Dubilier cap will be here in day or two. It's about as close as you can get with availible NOS parts. I actually ended up with enough parts for 2 complete kits. I will most likely sell the other. It's exactly the same. Thanks to all the guys in the forums who helped me dig up these parts over the last year. Anyway...have a look.

DROOL!

I know lots of debate goes on about whether "vintage" components matter tone wise, but they sure do look cooler!

Thanks for the thumps up guys. Will definately post clips. Just scored 3 good Daly 50uf/50uf caps but I'm trying to find some 50/50 Eries. Talk about "hard to find". I think it would be great to have a 100% NOS setup. <<<<<Dreaming!

I'm sure it could be done, if you have a lot of patience. I have no patience, so my 45/100 build (no NOS stuff) is even not going to be perfect, the website I'm ordering a majority of my stuff from only has a 220uf axial elextrolytic, when the schematic has a 250uf, but I don't think there will be much of a difference.

Definitley post up some pics and clips when you're done.

Yeah... I have a gazillion 220UF caps in BC and NOS Mullard. The 250uf if not so common, at least in NOS stuff as I can see. I agree the difference will be minimal. Good Luck!

Check out this Ebay UK auction # 150563097582. Erie 250uf 50v if your interested. I but from him alot. Good Guy.

Well, it is rated at 250uf, which I don't think is enough. I would think it needs to be rated at least at 450v.

I guess I was thinking cathode cap. It's to big in size for that anyway. I'm not too schooled in the 45/100 family yet. They sound great and I'm thinking of doing one next. Good luck with your search.

Now that looks better! Ready to start the build. Got some good Dalys, and a few other NOS parts. Ordering the chassis and Heyboyers on Monday. Gotta love how addicting this is.
