Post by Ruubz » Sun Aug 22, 2004 8:04 am

A friend of mine helped me out with the board assembly:

Maybe I gave him too much Guinness, coz this is what we ended up with:

Can't wait to hear that 100 Watt monster with a brand new Metro-heart. Thanx George!

You should fill those tubes with Jack, they'll work better

I'm happy to inform you all I did my first gig with the PTP board installed. WOW! Instead of a flat & harsh sound my white moster sounded like a giant Bassman, with a lot of Marshall grind that is. Thanx George! Already had 6550's for output tubes and they sound killer now.
Next step is going to be the trannies, coz the amp gets worse after 10 minutes. Frying the plexi that is!

What drink(s) do you recommend when installing transformers?
That's like your opinion man.

My mother would say water, but i'd recommend any homebrew or Guiness for that fact because homebrews usually have a shitload of more hops used. Check out any local party store and you just may find some. My favorite local beer is Bell's. Really strong dark stuff!
