okaaay, i fired it up and played; it works !
it sure sounds better than the stock ri but i wonder if the marstran was the way to go !
on top of that , knowing that HEYBOER REVERSED THE COLORS OF MY OT PRIMARY , i'm not happy to have lost so much time on that.
i didn't make any mistakle in reality, just a stock reversed PRIM OT (or the one that JTM100 mounted was reversed but i'd say mine is) and a bad rectifier tube !!!
a chance i didn't start to unsolder all around in the amp but i knew my wiring was good and solders as well.

the more i listen to the dagnall clone compare to the original 70' one and to the MM100 in the clips that georges recorded, the more i prefer the MM for its rich mids.

i bought a dagnall clone from georges last spring as well as one from ****** (are they heyboer as well ?) to rebuild my 95' 1959SLP but i found an original 72' just after so i will use this one but i will try to take the time to compare them.

does anybody know how the jt45MM OT compares to the other clones and to the original, i haven't heard any clips ?

hey JTM100, how did you like the amp you mounted for your friend steve ?
was the sound great ?

i think i prefer my original marshall 50 & 100w's but it's not exactly the same amp, though my 65' JTM100 isn't that far.

i tried it with a g12m25 ri 4 12.
i will try it better and with other guitars as well.

the lower filtering makes me feel like it's closer to some older gears as well, making the sound looser; less stiff.
that's a common fact i noticed on old gears compares to newer ones.

thanks JTM100 cause without you thinking i had reversed the colors of my OT prim, i would have lost more time.

Just sorry we didn't think about swapping rectifiers earlier.....but then most people don's seem to keep a spare one around, you're just lucky I guess!!

i saw your page flame, i might rebuild my UK made ac30tbx to get closer to my 64' ac30N modded to top boost.
like you i love old 50's, 60's and early 70's amps as well.
i have some old marsall, vox, fender, hiwatt and supro amps i restore to original specs when needed.

i tried the amp better and it sounds good.
i'm not disappointed but i might try the MM JT45 16 (or so).
it sounds great with a vintage reissue 62 strat or with a 59' les paul ri.
much better than the stock 95' jtm45 ri
