JD Simo ripping through the Metro-Plex prototype

Post by VelvetGeorge » Mon Oct 20, 2014 2:15 am

I could not be more honored to have my buddy JD check out this amp. Turns out, he had seen the video I posted an knew about the functions and dug the tones!!!! Consider me floored! Really terrific player, and... oh yeah! He brought a 1960 burst here that we got to play and admire. Floored again. Every day above ground is a good day, but some days are unbelievably great!

Amp sounds great and God knows J.D. is amazing. I wish he would play in the deep South...I wish I could see him where I am in Houston or even Austin or Southwest Louisiana, but he sticks to home in Nashville and the Midwest mostly.

That said...as J.D. demonstrated so well, this is another great amp!

Nice retro tone, vibe and style.....the sonic equivalent of sittin around eating wings and drinking lemonade.....about 50 years ago :D

That was nice. It's a good example of no matter when or where you play, play it like you mean it.

Incredible amp, guitar and player! I have distributed this clip on 6 different forums I was so impressed with it!
Just absolutely awesome tone and with PAF''s incredible!
George what speakers in the basket weave Marshall cab?
This amp is a true contender giving great plexi tone with all mod cons, truely a Metro Plex.
Great work George!! :champ: :champ:

That freakin guy is an animal! And the I can add the amp is that much better in person, fellers! (Hmmm, wonder if George will let me trade in my '68, 45/100, 2203, 50 and BB for one..... well NOT the 45/100 anyway! :) )

Can't help but watching JD wonder if Leslie West has a son......

"This is the famous bench I've seen in all those videos"   :worthy:

So, how about a shop tour video, George????? Let's see where the magic happens!!!
