Wow! The reissues definitely catch a lot of flack, but that amp just sounds incredible. Are the Mullard Reissues your current production tubes of choice? For the plexi circuits as well?

I have to save up for one of these bad boys. It really is the ultimate Marshall. You definitely did it right George. Congrats on a job well done.

The Mullard reissue stuff is as reliable (or lack of) as any other brand. I have Laura at Valvequeen test and burn every tube. Only one failure so far.
The CV4004 is a short plate and has much less noise and hum. With the DC heaters in the MP they are as quiet as anything available.

Tonally, they are pretty good. Nothing like the 3D, vocal thing you get with a great real Mullard. But I use networks on each gain stage to take away some of the harsh, modern tube sound. In fact, much of the voicing in this amp is taking away certain frequencies.

Incredible. I've watched Lance's vid twice, as well as your 20+ minute demo twice!
The mid control really is cool, backed off gives that "scooped" tone many crave.

Well done George! Can't imagine how much time, thought, patience, re-thought, and trial and error went into this amp.

Lance's demo of George's 10,000 Super Bass was all it took for me to buy one. Dude should be on commission...
