6CA7 with the MP

George,
Have you loaded any of the MPs up with 6CA7s? I'm just curious. I'm a big fan of how the good ones can sorta split the difference between 6L6s and EL34s.

Not yet, but I would love to hear it. 6CA7 retain great note definition, even with gobs of gain.

Is there any sonic difference between the GE (crimped plates) vs Sylvania (welded plates) 6CA7 tubes?

I haven't compared directly, but they have the same overall tone and vibe. I'm sure either would do that 6CA7 thing in the MP.
