Metro-Plex Help

Hello,
I’m new to this forum. Metropoulos amp was my dream for years and it finally happened. I just got used Metro-Plex ( early version without 66 switch ). Here is my issue. In George videos I can hear that vintage Marshall crunch. It’s bright and aggressive but also think and huge. I can’t seem to get these tons from my Metro-Plex. Mine sound kind of thin and really trebly, harsh and fizzy/fuzzy . Best way I can describe it sounds like dimed Vox. I am thinking maybe some tubes got damaged during shipping. Can these symptoms be caused by pream tubes ? Anybody has tubes layout ? Is V1 furthest one away from power tubes?
