Valvestorm, Mojo and Sourmash all sell nice head cabs. Some will come with the metal shielding installed. If not, you can use a piece of aluminum flashing like they use to wrap window and door trim on your house with. The aluminum or copper shielding tape will also work just fine.

I wonder, would the tape have to have continuity all the way across? For instance, if you used the silver foil duct tape, the adhesive is not conductive. So, each strip is conductive but you wouldn't have conductivity from strip to strip, across the entire "shield". I used heavy duty 3M silver foil tape that's used for taping the seams of rigid duct work. I didn't have any noise issues but I thought about the fact that the entire sheet wasn't conductive. Next time I pulled the chassis I used conductive paint where the tape seams overlapped. So I now have conductivity across all the tape strips.

In my case it didnt, but I wonder, in general, does it matter?

Since the ends of the chassis are resting across all pieces of the tape, the shielding effect works properly. Main thing is to have complete coverage of the open side of the chassis with no gaps in the tape seams.

Good point. I didn't think about that. So, my paint was redundant. Oh well, no harm done.

Thanks.

Even if you have some holes, don't bother. Faraday Cage has plenty of those :)
