jtm 45 wattage

hello i just finished a jtm45 clone useing jtm45 upgrade kit and
heyborer transformers from metro amp. sounds great in fact
its a great deal louder that i thought my question is what is the
expected wattage of this amp? i am running threw a 1960a
cab w 75ers

I just did the exact same thing and I was wondering that too I keep seeing 30 watts so I think thats it.

It may be 30 watts clean. I'm sure it's higher than that dirty, probably 40-45 watts RMS in the dirt.
The Bassman it's based off of is considered to be about a forty-watter.
Somebody get the 'scope out and measure it so I'll know when it's my turn to build one. :D

Mine runs at 39 watts clean, biased with a slight crossover notch and with a weber copper cap (GZ34-type) as a rectifier. Technically, this acts the same as a tube rectifier. Then again, I do have 50w plexi power and output trannies, as well as EL34's, but a JTM45 board. Try taking out the tube rectifier and soldering diodes across the rectifier socket. See how much you get out of it. You'll probably be able to milk 45 clean watts.

i just got used to my thin jcm900 50watt combo

and expected output to be less than that.
but its much louder :shock:
and what a sound be amp ever owned by far 8)
i sold my jcm900 and bought a hot plate with the money :P
