Hey guys,
received a Jet City JCA20h and want to convert it into a pink taco basically. I’ve already gathered all the needed information but don’t know what to do with the gain pot. In the Friedman-circuit the gain control comes after the second gain stage, in the JCA20 or 2203 it comes after the first. What difference does that have on the final sound?
Thanks!

I did a Jose style (and by extension friedman style) JCA 20H last month. https://www.guitargearforum.com/forum/v ... 10#p912110 I rolled with two volumes because that's what was on the original Jose schematic. If you dime the Stock gain control and use the second one it'll be the same as just having the second one.

Modded the amp a while ago, put the gain pot in the position after the 2nd gain stage and also added the SAT switch. Really nice sounding amp now! Like it better then the Pink Taco I’ve had for a short time, this amp was too dark, the Presence Control is a must have in an amp with the BE-circuit.
