I have a couple of questions.
What are the differences between the 2550 and the 2550X in the SDM Layouts besides the extra pot?
Why would/should i choose the 2550X over the 2550 layout?
Are these models different from the 2553?

Can you post a link to the layout? I have lost my bookmark for his site.

Re: SDM 2550 vs 2550X
2555 was the 100 Watt
2550 was the 50 Watt
2553 (I think) was a small box version of the 50 Watt.
The pre-amps should be nearly identical. They're a great amp. I built a 2555 using SDM layout and it's fantastic.
The only real decision you have to make is do you want a 50W or 100W
