Dear Gear Friends,
As a result of an increased demand on my time, I've had to come up with a format that demands less prep work up front and a lighter schedule during the event. Therefore, to accommodate my availability, this year TONEfest '07 will be reorganized to provide a more intimate, less stressed event, that focuses on amp and gear comparisons, personal gear try-outs, and fellowship. In order to focus on these 3 goals so that they will be fun and rewarding for players and builders, we will be eliminating the following this year:
Clinics
Booth rentals for manufacturers and retailers
The need to demo every amp
Admission fee
Organized jam
By scaling back on the commercial side of TONEfest this year, we are making more time for you to hear and try some of the great gear you may have not had time to experience in past events. The success of TONEfest was always based on the terrific gear Vintage and Custom gear that our "Friends" were able to bring to the event. This year we will assemble another great armada of the best of Vintage and Custom-Built amps, as well as pedals, guitars and gear. As always, custom builders and manufacturers are welcome and encouraged to bring their stuff. Only this year, there will be NO FEE. The TONEfest "Friends" event is a less commercial and more intimate gathering, where we will alternate our schedule between demos and individual amp/gear try-outs.
If you are a custom builder, manufacturer, or collector, and plan on attending with your gear, please contact me ASAP so that we can promote your line or collection.
In keeping with our TONEfest "Friends" format, returning TONEfest attendees are welcome to share any input or suggestions you may have for this event.
Since we are offering a FREE event this year, I am recommending a donation be made to help cover expenses. Any checks can be made payable to "ToneFest".
Please RSVP your attendance to nick@nickchamplin.com.
