Looks like something you could solder railroad tracks together with!! (Actually, my dad had one just like it, and I THINK he used to use it to solder the lead joints on stained glass doors). 8) 8)

In keeping with the drunk audience member theme...

Several years ago I was in a cover band that played a lot of "new" music like U2, Talking Heads, etc. Anyway, we played a gig in a very small town (only two bars and maybe a post office... you get the idea) and this guy in a camo hunting cap who looked like he hadn't showered in a week came up to me in the middle of a song and yelled in my face "Why don't you play something we can relate to?" while spilling his beer on my pedal board.

I was so mad that I somehow made the rest of the band stop playing and started into the cheesiest country riff I could think of and then stopped and yelled into the mic "How's that?". He just stood there with a blank look on his face. I'm lucky I didn't get beat up or worse, but it was fun at the time.

On one of the first gigs I had overseas this guy comes up to me (probably because I was the youngest and smallest) and says, "Don't play "Crying In the Rain" or you'll be sorry." I didn't think twice about it.
Later on the bandleader called out "Crying In the Rain" so I launch into it and as soon as the singer started to sing this drunken idiot storms the bandstand headed straight for me.
I went to duck and ended up hitting him in the face with the tuners. It tore half his face off. One cheek was hanging off and he was screaming that he was going to kill me. They carried him out and we carried on.

Mike
