I met him a few times. He was always a gentleman. I wonder what happened. R.I.P. He's likely up there right now...jamin' with Randy again.

"BANG YOUR HEAD !" Man, it was Quiet Riot and Def Leppard that kept Hard Rock alive back in '83. I remember being so pleased to see "Thriller" knocked out of #1 album spot, even if it was for just one week, by Metal Health.

I alway's loved reading interiews with DuBrow, he told it like he felt it.

Won't say too much, you guys can figure it out for yourselves.. the death was being ruled as "accidental". Kelly has already released this info within the last hour on Randy's tribute site.

huh? no fowl play but an accidental death.. would that imply an overdoes? does this not constitute fowl play?

"Fowl" play would more about chasing chickens. "Foul" play would have more to do with murder or if someone poisoned him or gave him bad drugs on purpose with the intent to kill. If he OD'd on his own, it couldn't really be considered foul play...even if he intentionally did it in an act of suicide. Maybe it was too much Rogaine.

follow your instincts brother. This is so so sad. I dont think he was a crazy "partier" but accoording to reports, he had a difficult time latelty dealing with some of his issues. Not saying he purposely did this, but it unfortunately seems to point there. It seems as if Kelly and Frankie are being VERY carefull not to have this come out as a suicide.
Hopefully he is jamming with master Randy!

i just saw him in Vegas( was some months ago this year) - he sat in with us and did whole Lotta love. ill never forget it. i didn't see him come on stage but over the stage volume he screamed so loud it scared the shit outta me!!!. ill never forget standing next to him stage and him towering over me. ( he was like 6'5' or something)

its funny now that i think about it. Mickey told a story backstage that night after Kevin left. said back in the day he went to a party and it was Kevin's house. he said it was huge mansion and had no furniture in it.
anyway he said Kevin came up to him and asked him to come check something out with him so they went into Kevin's bedroom, Kevin grabbed a acoustic guitar and very timidly played a couple chords real quiet and all of a sudden belts out FIND YOUR WAY BACK !!! FIND YOUR WAY BACK TO YOUR HEART!!!! Mick said it almost knocked him off his feet the guy sang so loud! ah yeah good times.

Great stuff Mark ! I definatly see what your saying about Kevins power. I can still hear a couple of those screams in "Bang Your Head", and that one "C'mon !!!!" in "Come On Feel The Noise".

Frankie the drummer of Quiet Riot is a close family friend. My step mom used to babysit his daughter. He used to come over to pick her up, and I didn't even know who he was till later. Years later Quiet riot bought my brother a trip to Hawaii for graduation from Loyola Marymount. Very cool. 8) I was even offered at one time to be their guitar Tech whenever they played shows in Florida, but I never jumped at the oportunity, because at the time I haden't even started working on Amps yet, much less guitars ( other than tuning and intonation)

I knew Kevin personally. He and I wrote a song together, called "All Wound Up", which is featured on Quiet Riot's "Down to the Bone" CD.

Kevin always complimented me on my guitar playing and song writing - which was special to me because I (also) was such a fan of guitarist Randy Rhoads.

I had hoped to work with Kevin again someday...
