You have too much time on your hands. Shouldn't you be playing your Metroamp?

Yeah as a matter of fact, I have been everyday this week!

I built a badass PA system for my band, and the mixer is a Mackie 1604VLZ Pro. I recently patched that into my sound card on my computer using the Tape Outputs into my aux line in's. I'm using a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum sound card, which has the front panel interface that mounts in one of the 5 1/4" drive bays.

Now, ever since I've started playing I've been running all tube amps clean with pedals in front of it. My main head being a '65 Fender Pro Reverb that I gutted and converted back to stock(it was badly modded by Dan Torres when I got it). Then I converted it to Super Lead spec, but still used the stock 6L6 tubes.

I was CONSTANTLY changing shit on my rig trying to find THAT tone that I had in my head. Well, I built a Metro Plexi, then George showed me what it sounded like on a Power Brake, and from that point on I was SOLD!!! The amp had THAT tone and since then(a little over a year ago) I haven't changed SHIT on my rig. I've added a couple things here and there, but gone were the days of sitting at home tweaking shit for hours and getting nowhere trying to get THAT tone.

Well...there's one important detail that George leaves out of his advertisements for these amps:

1) Completely stock, these amps are THE BEST for recording. HANDS DOWN! I mic it with an SM-57 placed halfway between center and edge of the cone, flatten the EQ on the board, turn on the 75Hz low cut filter(you get WAY too much low end if you don't do that), and hook it up to your recording unit and let 'er rip!

2) These amps...if you know how to play them, when recorded sound DEAD ON any classic hard rock/80s era heavy metal recording. And with no tricks or anything. And that's completely stock, no mods. Both of my heads are virgin...never been tweaked since the day I built them and they're completely stock and...I'm sorry but fuck Line 6 and any other form of digital modeling. These amps are THE SHIT for recording AND live tone. It just doesn't get any better than this.

I do, however they're quicker than I am to the draw most of the time.
