ebay SUCKS and paypal questions

Post by Guitar-Sam » Mon Apr 07, 2008 10:02 pm

OK I've been selling online for about two months. All happy to receive my MONEY ORDERS.
Now all of a sudden today nothing will go in cause I have to accept paypal.Ebay must be getting a nice kickback from paypal.
Now I like things simple.I don't want to deal with 50 emails and other technical luxuries that make my life hell.
What the hell is paypal.I mean I get the instant payment jist. And the pay from your bank account thing.
But as a buyer what the hell is it??I use my credit card for ebay.So how do I get my money now.

As a buyer, I see Paypal as kind of a "firewall" between your account or card info, and the seller. YOU know how much money you've got to spend, the seller gets his money instantly, and the info (account/card numbers) stay private.
I just bought a Razr phone for my wife (she had to have the Dolce & Gabbana limited edition gold Razr~a real princess she is   ), and the seller didnt accept Paypal. What a ball buster. I had to email him to get a checkout screen, and there was a delay in processing payment on a credit card, which stalled shipment to me. The only reason I bought from this seller is cause he was cheaper than anyone else for the phone. Its 2 weeks, and I still havent gotten the phone yet.
Lesson learned for me: Paypal only thru Ebay. It just gets shit done quicker.

PayPal is for your protection and security to all eBay members. Having everyting protected and free from thieves is worth the wait.

The thing that makes eBay suck at times are the shitty dealers that don't treat customers properly. Otherwise, it's a great marketplace.

When I sell and buy, I'll ONLY use PayPal. People that only accept check, money orders, and cashier checks should be labeled as unworthy sellers.

Ebay owns Paypal, so yes, they get a nice kickback.

The operative word there is "wanted". My wife is "getting"... cause Im a SUCH sucker for my wife saying something like "Oooh, I saw a woman today with one of those Dolce & Gabbana phones... it looks SOOO classy in her hands... sweetheart..."

I can deal with D & G phones... I just hope she doesnt take a sudden interest in friggin' Maserati's...

You're going to have to learn eventually or you'll end up like most ignorant old folks. What your parent's said about "never stop learning" is definitely no bullshit. I don't mean to be overly brash, but an attitude like that only digs your hole deeper.

I dunno most technological advances don't have anything to do with helping modern living or bettering an old design. It usually has more to do with lining the pockets of big biz and money is dumped into brain washing everyone into believing they have to have it.
I still want to live in the woods in Maine. :D
