I FUCKING HATE MOJO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I order a replica cab from them, which when they told me that it was done I was really wanting that cab here for this weekend's gig, and they sent it to my OLD address in California! I changed my address with them MONTHS ago so they shouldn't even have that address on file anymore!!!
AAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad about the screw up, but it sounds like it'll be a nice cab. Keep us posted on it.

I'm not trying to rub it in, but here's a shot of the inside with the speakers mounted and wired. At least you can see what you're getting.

The difference lies in what's called branch inductance. Original Marshall cabs are wired series-parallel. And that seems to be the preferred way, as it is slightly more balanced tonally than parallel-series.
Also, if a speaker were to blow (with them wired as in my pic) the other 3 would still be in the circuit- preventing damage to the amp.
With the P-S arrangement two speakers would be out of the circuit if one blew. A minor difference I know, but c'mon we are comparing branch inductance here.

Correct me if I'm wrong George, but I believe the way you have it in your pic IS what they call "parallel-series" since the parallel speaker pairs are in series with each other, whereas the other arrangement is "series-parallel" since the two series wired speaker pairs are in parallel with each other. You are right about the safety of the amp wired the way that you have it wired in the pic though. However, if you're running 2 cabs at a time, I wouldn't think that it would hurt the amp at all if one were to blow and knock 2 out of the circuit, but I could be wrong so please correct me if I am.

JOn, now I'm second guessing myself on the proper phrase.??? I'll double check. The important thing is that the pairs (right pair and left pair in my pic) are in parallel with themselves. And the two pairs are in series.

Hence the term "PARALLEL-SERIES"!

OK now THIS is getting WAY OUT OF HAND!!!
Since the day that cabinet was shipped out to my wrong address, I have been on the phone consistently with UPS, and they told me basically "We can't do anything until it's arrived at the California hub and it's out for delivery." So I was like "OK no problem." Yesterday that happened.
I called them TWICE to get the California hub to call me back. They finally did, to confirm that they had received the address correction message. So I asked them and they replied with:
"OK, so the driver has confirmed that the package is still on his truck."
"Yes he has."
"And he will be returning with it so that you guys can perform an address correciton on it to my current address."
"Yes that is correct. The driver has been notified of the error and has been advised to return with the package so that we can do an address correction on the package."
No problem...or so I thought.
Check the tracking number online this morning...
"Receiver moved. Package not delivered. Return to sender."
WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!??????????
So I called them this morning to confirm this, and sure enough they had the same thing on their end! So I said "NO NO NO THAT CANNOT HAPPEN!"
So now I've gotta wait for the California UPS hub to call me back since they apparently don't have a direct phone number, which I think is total bullshit, and basically ask them "WHAT THE FUCK!? You guys called and confirmed that you had everything under control and now it's all turned to shit!!!" Basically I will be calling them and forcing them to stop the package in it's tracks and get ahold of the hub that it will be recieved by and tell THEM that they'd better do the address correction or else..."
AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE SHIPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, guys here it is..............tone wise.........
Assuming we are talking about 16 ohm speakers, you can wire them in parallel/series or series/parallel. Either way will give you 16 ohm impedance, BUT the parallel/series will have clearer and stronger high end because of lower branch inductance (like Goerge sayed...). Conversely the series/parallel will have browner hights with stronger lows because greater branch inductance. So if your amp is too clean or in need of a browner tone, perhaps the serie/parallel would be the ticket or if you want more definition and clarity the parallel/serie will please ya more....

OK just got off the phone with Mojo.
They received my cabinet this morning and have agreed to send it overnight to me so I should be receiving it by tomorrow. Hopefully THIS time I actually receive it at the right address.

Major bonus. FREE OVERNIGHT! Now maybe if you can have them do this all the time you will be a made man Jon.
