I'm using amps I built myself. They include 6V6, EL84 and EL34 outputs. The EL84 output seems to work the best for the moment; just the right amount of volume.
I play mostly in church so I'm also using an isobox and in ear monitors. When I can I usually use a 2x12 cab loaded with V30s.
I also Generally have a TC Electronics GMajor in the loop.

Hehehehe.........my new neighbors had gotten a taste of the '75 Marshall 50-watt with a Weber MASS and a Les Paul already.......today they got the Les Paul through the Metro 100-watt Super Bass, unattenuated!!thunder970 wrote:Does neighbors being able to hear me play considered live? If so, Les Paul straight into my 4100 dimed on the clean channel and a Angled cab with V30's. Kinna like the cheech and chong "UP IN SMOKE" except I dont have a motorcycle mirror mounted on my guitar neck
If I actually HAD a gig (which will have to wait until my wife is out of college

a) my pink Strat, Snarling Dogs Whine-O Wah, and TC Jauernig Luxury Drive into the '75 Marshall and a '94 1960AX, with a MASS if needed; or
b) my Les Paul or SG into the Dogs wah, Luxury Drive, and the Metro Super Bass into a 2001 1960A with 30-watt Weber Silver Bells, again with MASS as needed.
If my back was really feeling strong I'd augment those rigs with my home-built Leslie cab driven by my '78 Marshall 50-watt with another Weber MASS.

I may be mistaken but I think gnugear is in Washington St too. That'll make 3 of us that I know of.
My new band 'Moms Rocket' has only played one show, and I used the whole rig. Metro '68 super bass, hotplate, peavey 50/50 classic, 2 mid 70's Marshall checkerboard slants with rola 25s. Wet cab points forward, dry across the stage. HK replex provides the wet, in line between the hotplate and the peavey. What I like about this rig is it sounds really big without having to be really loud.

I'm running all Metro heads...I use a '69 clone for a backup, however I'm using my Curt Mitchell prototype live for the band I'm working with since they want that high gain tone. The CM is just a Super lead with 3 cascaded gain stages in the preamp with a pre-phase inverter master on it.
I use a Mojotone slant BW cab with G12H-30 RIs in it. For pedals I run a Vox Wah, MXR Phase 90, Boss Super Octave, Line 6 MM4 for chorus. I also use all Les Pauls with EMG pickups(Zakk Wylde set).

I have some new items
2 4x8 200 watt full range pa cabs which i can use with my H/H or marshall H/H for pa and marshall for bass well it is a sb afterall
2 1x12 goodmans loaded cabs with motorola tweeters which i use with my H/H because i can have a small porta rig compared to luggin round 4x8s
2 celestion G12M 50HZ loaded 2x12s wit tweeters which are disconnected
I can use my wem copicat with my H/H or marshall which i ain't tried as i need new tape loops
my main guitars Saxon LP copy Gibson SG pro and harmony strat all guitars from the 70's
and pedals tech 21 double drive and a Dunlop GCB 95 wah with a nady wireless system.
any1 of my amps i can use in a live situation but i would use the H/H with the goodmans mainly with a tech 21 double drive for a marshall emulating sound until i have built my marshall plexi kit and 4x12.

Live Rig Revision:
Here is my current 'gitdown' as follows:
I'm now using a rack setup:
Wireless: Nady XR-61(will be changing over to a Shure unit soon)
Preamp: Marshall JMP-1 Valve MIDI Preamp
Effects: TC Electronics M300(will be switching to a G-Major soon)
Digitech Whammy(hooked in front of the JMP-1 but MIDI controlled)
Power Amp: '69 Metro Super Lead Plexi modded with a Line Input Jack
Speaker Cab: Mojotone slant basketweave clone loaded with Anniversary series Celestion G12H-30s
I'm still using the Vox Wah and the MXR Phase 90. I swear everytime I change my rig around these 2 devices seem to never leave my setup.
