Another lucky day :-0
One of the biggest tree's in the neighborhood (directly in front of my house) decided to come crashing down in the middle of this windy rainstorm we're having right now. The base of the tree is at least 3ft in diameter, and it stood around 40-50ft high. If it had fallen toward my house instead of the street, it woulda crushed my house for sure.
Me, my wife and the dogs were home at the time, and it sounded like a friggin' bomb went off outside.
Thank God nobody was driving or walking by. This coulda been WAY worse.

I thought you were gonna say you found some awesome flame maple for a guitar project.

I think a flame shot out my ass when I heard that noise!!Mars Hall wrote:I thought you were gonna say you found some awesome flame maple for a guitar project.

Thanks, bro... zero damage except for the sidewalk and the curb. You cant see it in the first pic, but the chick across the street's Jag was about 5ft to the right... and she usually parks on the side of her house exactly where the tree hit!!jbzoso2002 wrote:WOW!

Ahhh, good old memories of Long Island architecture! Brings back a lot of memories (including trees coming down in severe weather!) Glad you're OK, filly!

Love the one with the sign "Children at Play". It wasn't long ago me and my homies would be up in t at tree doing that very thing!
Ice storms were really wild. When tree limbs and power cables were encased in solid ice and you could here the shit slowly cracking under the weight.
