Stones at the Hollywood Bowl last night

Post by NY Chief » Wed Nov 09, 2005 11:36 am

Sound was terrible. All the guitars were muddy as hell. Imagine Tele's and Strats with no high end? How the fuck does that happen? The were off to. Keith made a number of mistakes and Ronnie wasn't real on either. Wasn't ALL that bad though. Some major high points. Sympathy for the Devil rocked, Get Off My Cloud, As Tears Go By was done on a nice Martin 12. No opening act and they didn't go on until 8:45, short break back out and that was it. No encore. Done by 10:45.

I'm seeing them on Thanksgiving in Denver. Hope the show is better than what you described. Those ticket prices warrant good shows.

I thought they played better this year than the last time I had seen them, although the cheap seats in fenway park didn't exactly offer the best acoustic perspective. I still can't believe my girlfriend ponnied up that much money to take me.
