"Love Shack"??????? The B-52's and Marshalls should never be uttered in the same sentence.
"1999"???? "Billie Jean"???? (I could forgive "Beat It" for the EVH solo, though.) I hope these tunes make the girlies melt on the dance floor and drop trousers so you stay awake!!
Still, some interesting choices in there. "Werewolves of London"? Cool, never seen a band pick that one up. "Banditos"? I didn't think anyone remembered who the Refreshments were, I caught them here in Iowa with Semisonic opening (before Semisonic got semi-big and checked THEIR nuts in at the door....) My last band played that one. "Possum Kingdom" too, loved the tune, but what a joy to do the middle section with a stock Strat tremolo -- hit the low E, drop it like a rock while you clamp the other five strings with your hand, bring it back and try to yank the other strings in tune while not interrupting the low E's feedback. Needless to say it was the last song of a given set, when you didn't have to be completely in tune.
Quitcher whinin' -- you could be at home on a Saturday night with a baby bottle in your hand instead of a guitar.........
But sweet child of mine is well... pretty sweet, and so is All Right now, and so is George's version of Play that Funky music, but its no Jessie's Girl x2 :)

As far as the Refreshments go, i'm suprised you saw them in concert, i don't know many people who have, I don't think they toured all that long. (I really liked that band) They came out with a good follow up disc, but Geffin records (i think it was that label) screwed them over with the second release, they broke up, and I think the singer of that band is making some noise with a new group.

BTW George, your tone was sick lastnight :!: And I loved the increased volume to cover for the blown up bass.
Oops, that was me, I wasn't logged in.
