This flu going around...

Post by mightymike » Fri Jan 11, 2013 7:32 pm

I hear it's pretty bad. I wonder if I already had it a couple weeks ago. I had fever, chills, body ache, and blew chunks..I just layed down for my 34 hour reset, broke my fever, and was only really bad for a ouple days. Are these symptoms the same as what's going around?

Influenza is upper respiratory, so rarely if ever does one puke.
I just got over a GI bug that had me in the same state as yourself, with the addition of powerhouse rounds of diarrhea! Very pleasant experience. Was in quite the fog as well. :stars:

Those handicap bars come in handy when you need some extra torque. I wish they'd put one on the back of the door!

I caught the main flu/cold (whatever this fucker is) on 12/26 from my in-laws. Got to spend the next five days in bed, canceled my NYE plans since I still wasn't feeling good.

Then the sinus thing....jeezus...it's been hanging on for two more weeks. I've worn out the Vicks rub, the Kleenex boxes and shaved off my goatee since I got tired of all the nose runoff in it.

Gee, that was probably TMI, huh? :palm:

Its weird, I have never had the flu flu(get the shot about every 5 years)... I only ever get the 24-36 hour kind... I'm 50+, so I always figured it was because my body had seen similar strains before? But, Jim has been around a bit longer than me, so maybe no matter what you need to get the shot? The only time I wad ever down for several days, it was f@ckin Lyme Disease... same symptoms, BW0 the puking and dire-rear!

I've never gotten the shot, but since Elly started school she brings home every bug that goes around. I might have to start.

Haven't got the nasty virus that's wiping people out around here, thankfully. Both kids, Mom, brother etc have all had it. My brother hasn't felt normal in weeks (not that he is ever truly normal LOL).

I have noticed myself being extra run down lately though. Not just in the worked too many hours and haven't slept well way, but in a less natural tired sort of way. I've been fighting it with extra vitamins, power naps and also haven't drank since before NYE. I kinda wonder if it's a bug I picked up, but without all the snot and sore throat.

Then again, it's probably just the 70+ hours per week getting all the Friedman, Cameron and Colby stuff ready for NAMM.
