Man I just went back and forth through Louisville, but it was a hot load and couldn't stop. I'm in Cartersville, Ga (60 miles north of ATL) tonight at the Pilot Truck Stop... delivering in Montezuma tomorro in the Morn...

I haven't brought a guitar... Pretty sad I know. Part of the reason I want to have my place. That I will own. With no woman having any power over the deed, is so that I can have my amp space again. Also if thing don't work out... They leave not me.. The main reason though is so I stop this cycle of renting, dating, then living with a woman. Meanwhile my kids don't even have their own room when they visit. That shit is going to stop, and by saving up a huge down payment, I will then be able to do more things with my kids because I won't be scraping by.

It's going to be fun visiting and checking out gear. It will break up the monotony for sure.

Update: I'm finally at the stage where I'm house shopping. Been living on the road now since July 2011. I didn't save 50k because of a hospital stay, but I'm healthy, and have enough down to where my house payment will be half what I would pay in rent. I worked Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years last year and this, but will never have to do that again.. Drove over 160k miles in 2012..Whew!

One funny thing reading back through the thread was how back then I was dating, and had a dating profile. Well I didn't save any money until I stopped dating in March of 2012.. It was amazing how much I saved after that.

Excellent; It's a buyer's market out there, with all the foreclosed properties. But before you buy, be careful to protect yourself-check out this site...

Those are wise words, Jose. Went thru the wringer myself once. I survived but it really set me back financially and emotionally. The life lessons were priceless, but I don't need to relearn them...
