If they made purple hearts for snowboarding...I'd have my share.

Vernon Valley: (first time) nice cut down the side of my nose
Hunter: broken wrist and chipped thumb (no guitar for awhile)
Okemo: Separated Shoulder (almost broke collarbone..torn ligaments...physical therapy 2 times a week for 6 months...shoulder still crunchy sometimes)

..Always the same thing...last run of the day....everything iced over...tired...catch an edge...fly ass-over-head. These days, I'm more relaxed when I go...bones don't heal the way they used to...ehehehehe...

I'd love to go on a trip to CO sometime...powder would be an absolute blessing.

Dude, you really have fucked yourself up. :( :( :(
I work in the radiology dept at the local hospital and we see lots of people coming in after the last run of the day. Tired, legs give out, and WHAM -RIGHT ON YOU FACE. 2-3 hrs is enough for me.
Snowboarding is a rough sport. Reading your injury list, I would have imagined someone like the kids that ride the terrain park. The half-pipe and big jumps really put a hurt on people. I don't do that stuff anymore, just free-riding in the the powder and in the trees.
I think one of the airlines flies directly from NYC to Steamboat. You should come out and ride and play some guitar. Not to many Marshall nuts out here.

Actually, the few times I've been in the terrain park, mostly doing jumps, I've been okay...I've seen others get completely cold-cocked, though. My problem is that I enjoy being a bit speedy from time to time while freeriding...

ice + tired legs + hauling ass = hospital.

If anything, my shoulder injury makes for great party conversation..."feel this shoulder...now feel this one!" I tore the ligament on the left side that holds the shoulder down so part of my shoulder bone is a little higher...if you run a finger a finger down it, it's kind of like a flattened "z"...hehe.

That being said, I am grateful I haven't had any more injuries since the late 90s. I don't push myself at the end of the day like I used to.
