The other old SS amp that Jazzers like is the Polytone. I think they even had a model with a built in compressor, but like the Roland, the built in dirstortion is just terrible!

an original 18 watt marshall is going for $7,000.00-10,000.00 dollars now days... but, you can build one for $500. . sounds like a baby plexi, but better than its big brothers, some say. it would definately replace that piece of shit roland "keyboard" amp in a hurry.

Dunno I find that miking my classical acoustic and running the mike into a Roland sounds good. I dont like running them straight in when recording.
