Way off Topic---Direct Tv Tivo to Computer

Ok...just curious if anyone here has hooked up a TIVO to their computer. I would like to be able to record some tv shows so that I could take the disc to work and watch it (yes, I have a very boring job that allows me to sit and watch movies)

Any help would be appreciated.
