Same one, Mike. Same site as the drag strip. They run the NHRA Winternationals and Finals there. When I was a kid in NY I'd read about Orange County International raceway, Pomona, Irwindale, Lions them when I moved to CA and started looking at maps I realized I landed right in the middle of that. OCIR and LIONS were closed and lost to the developers and Pomona has been reduced to two or three events per year due to the "neighbors" having noise issues. WTF did they move there for?
My first weekend here was the weekend of the Winternationals in '95. I'd been put of it for a number of years. Last I knew was the Top Fuel was the "six's " at 200+. I was pretty shocked to see Bernstein turn a "four" at 300+
And, talk about exhaust TONE!?!??! Mother fucker those things are almost louder than George's '68!!!
