Nice pics!!!! I liked the Fords the best. The GT and the Mustang were sweet looking. What's up with Dodge? I didn't really dig the Viper either. I wonder if dodge hired a bunch of new designers, because all the 2005's I've seen so far look like ass. I've got a 2001 Dakota and love the looks especially the front end, now they changed the whole look and it looks terrible. 600+ hp aluminum beast was sweet looking too. It's nice to see muscular looking cars finally. All everybody around here drives are diesel trucks, subarus, and SUV's.

Didn't have time to check out all the pics yet, but I gotta agree with your opinion that Ford is really putting out some hot stuff.
I really hate saying that 'cause I'm a diehard GM guy. I was really disappointed when the Camaro/Firebird series got the axe. But GM just ain't in touch with reality. The people that want those cars are mostly younger and they don't wanna drop $30K on a Camaro. Especially when Ford is smart enough to get you into a hot 'Stang for thousands less. (Seriously, when my wife got her '96 Trans Am back in '99, the dealer price sticker was still in the car. $27000, in 1996. !!??) And the Corvette? That thing desperately needs to ride the retro styling trends and get back to its roots -- an affordable American sports car. Ford jumped all over that trend on the 'Stang, and what do they get in the end? A HOT car like that Saleen you put up first.
Ford's just plain in touch with car enthusiasts right now, and it shows.

I think the Engineers over at Dodge have to be smoking crack. that new Charger looks like utter SHITE! How can a charger be a sedan for one and second, why did it have to look like a sedan Magnum? Chrysler is very high on their 345ci HEMI that produces a whopping 345hp @375ft.lbs of torque is shamefull and weak to bestow the name HEMI. This is not the "Elephant" and the ads are misleading. All it is, is a Magnum engine (340) with hemispherical slugs and heads. Even the Super Commando(Now dubbed Super Magnum 360ci crate engine) produces over 375hp at over 400 ft.lbs torque stock out of the box.

When is the Tomahawk coming into production. That is the only Chrysler worth a damn in the past 5 years.

The new Stang looks fairly decent, though I think they should take the retro look a step further and make it look more like the 69 Mach 1 rear spoiler and all.

GM who, what company is this? Do they still make cars? wow didnt know. The Vette is in serious need of an overhaul. Stop trying to pattern it after the Pantera and Ferrari. I'm with Flames, they should go back to the car's roots. Engine and body. Who cares about inflating seats and ghey Borla exhaust. Stuff the 454 in that puppy with the borg-Warner 6 speed. Talk about a rocket.

All these auto manufacturers are going towards the hybrid thing. I say it now and say it every time.. STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!! no one wants one of these toys until they are AS cheap as a gas powered car and can go fast or faster than a gas powered car at the same or less maintenance expence. Otherwise they are a tree huggers fairymobile.

When they get a 300 +Hp hybrid that's reasonably priced , I'll look. I test drove one of the Subaru WRX STi's and that car was a fucking Rocket. Real fun on dirt and Ice roads up here in the mountains. I don't know all the specs, but that thing was at 110 really fast. Subaru's got a winner with that car. I'd buy one of them. Take one out for a test drive, you won't be dissapointed.

I think everyone is gonna have to face up to reality that we are way to dependent on a primitive oil. Frankly, i don't think i would mind spending 30K on a 4x4 Ford Hybrid escape because the savings from gas would be pretty damn NICE! And the development of the hydrogen fuel cell car is already a go (to bad they have safety issues with containing the hydrogen right now). My 4x4 Dakota gets 16MPG and barely any better on the highway. I really need a 4x4 because i live on a dirt road that barely gets plowed in the winter. Having a hybrid would save me so much money!
It was very apparent that most of the makers were thinking about a changing world this time around, and thank god. Call me a tree hugger if you will, but i don't care. I think we owe it to other people to take care of the Earth and its creatures for future generations.

What's truly sad about that mileage on many of these trucks today is that my '50 Chev and '53 Chev both can equal that or better on the highway. That's both with pre-'62 six cylinders hot-rodded with dual carbs, a mild racing cam and dual exhaust, and a rear-end ratio change to 3.55 gears.
And we think technology has improved these engines so damn much.....?????? :? :?

You probably get better fuel efficiency as well. No unburnt fuel for those sniffer tests to detect.
