I miss the Carson days, I don't really find Jay Leno nearly as amusing.....
Goodbye, Johnny.

Let's hope Ed and his hearty laugh are around longer.

My grandma lives in Burbank, 5 minutes from where the studios are. In 1990 girlfriend at the time and I went down and saw one of his shows. During the commercial breaks he came out and talked to the audience --anybody. Also he was telling dirty jokes during the breaks. Peter Jennings and Bob Newhart were the guests. Bob Newhart has that dry deadpan comedy thing down, but Johnny actually got Peter Jennings to loosen up and be funny. Good Memories.

Later Johnny

Johnny was an original and nobody IMO has been able to match him.

I remember staying up on summer nights and watching him with my parents when I was a kid. Johnny was one of those that you thought would always be around.

I thought I felt bad when he ended his show but these last few days have been worse.

Thanks for all of the laughs Johnny...we're sure gonna miss you
