fill and nitro, super great to meet up and spend some time BS'ng amps, guitars, chowing down and watching a living legend! And thanks for making my old friend Chris (The Greek) feel like one of the gang but those Greeks tend to be able to that with anybody anyway! And he doesn't even play!
For the record I did have Lasik surgery a while back and it did take...maybe I better get a tune up.... In my defense Waylon is wearing a Jimi type hat in that pic!
I can't add anything to what nitro and fill has said about LP. I have been fortunate enough to have seen him play several times and I was worried that age may have diminshed his act. Arthritis has slowed him down but his soul is still breathing fire. I have seen greats like Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page turn to butter when LP had them come up and play with him. Truly a living legend. I heartily encourage every Metro member to make a point of seeing the man or at least get the DVD "Chasing Sound".
As fill said, he, nitro and myself started BS'ng like we've been friends for years and that's all due to the great feel of this board.
BTW, any of you guys wanna hear some genuine slide on a Nat, fill's your man! I'm already planning my next trip to come and play your Nat's and get some open tuning tips, fill!
George, I think it's time to start thinking about the annual MetroAmp National Covention....
