Eargasm +1 on the Mac, although for my first media center computer I went with a top end Sony Vaio, then after a major virus earlier this year, I lost all the bundled software as I was lucky enough to borrow a friends Windows Media Center disc to reload Windows, now my Windows Media Player won't play DVD's I have to purchase a software tool to install it properly and I cant read certain mp3 files, or have sound on email links requiring a player. I loaded a free player but it isn't as good.
I am hopefully beginning work on a guitarist/famous guitars book, which will be more technical than the usual fare and although I can't give much away at this stage, the concept will be fresh and new, for all those jaded fans/players out there.
I originally had planned on biographies of certain famous players of interest to me, but after some preliminary experiences, I decided to go the route I am planning.
This will unfortunately for me equipment wise entail moving into the professional digital photography realm, as I will eventually need to travel quite a bit to photograph certain famous guitars, ect.
I am glad to learn of your professional experiences and will no doubt have some questions for you in the future, right now back to topic
Yes the Jim and Jim show was quite the feature of the recent LA Amp show, at least for me anyway!!
Being speaker and pickup gurus, these two individuals have a large percentage of the tone chain covered.
It was explained to me that Jim WCR's logo is him with his hair let loose from the ponytail and jammin' out.
There needs to be some development of the theme and it looks like that will be happening! 8)

Hey Yng your project sounds very interesting - all the best in your pursuits, and yep, if I can help out, I'd be more than happy to!
You know, about the Mac thing - I REALLY wanted to use Windows at first because it was more popular, but after the problems I had with them, I just couldn't take it anymore, so I gambled and bought a Mac. I don't want to start a flame war here - Windows could work perfectly and be the ONLY choice for someone else - but I personally didn't have any luck with them. I know people that have great luck with Chevy's and swear by them, and others that have terrible luck with them and will never buy another...same thing with computers I guess. I'd be remiss/unfair if I didn't call attention to this "phenomenon"...call it an "Unexplained Mystery" of the Universe or whatever, but I am convinced it exists. Play it safe and just use whatever works best for you, I say.
Meanwhile, if people want to stop the monopoly that Microsoft has been accused of, there is a simple solution...buy a Mac.
Fuck it.
