Jerry,
You may want to consider a replacement tremelo block as well---adds a bunch to the tone of a strat. I have one on the way for my G & L.
These guys know strats....

Not to take this thread off by any means, but I really wish someone would do something similar for Floyd Rose and Ibanez Edge type tremolos that this Callaham guy does for Fender style blocks.Guitar Adjuster wrote:Jerry,

Or, like YJM, the (70's) block saddles. I have both. I like the vintage 'cause they're "Snappy'er !
Klusons for Tuners, or, the Fender "F" series.
Stratty, Stratty, Stratty !

Necrovore, something was developed for Floyd Rose guitars by Warren DeMartini, and Performance Guitars, using bell metal(from church bells),to increase sustain, lol!I allready have enough ringingin my head as it is,and just finished playing my HW stack with both channels linked on vol. 5,I am deef allready, lol!!
Here is the link:
http://www.warrendemartini.net/hawaiiankoa_e.html
also here is a cool photo of some of Warren's past Charvels:
http://www002.upp.so-net.ne.jp/lieju/wa ... e.html#4.4
still looking for my Charvel link, this last one explains how the brass Big Block came about.
http://www.performanceguitar.com/
http://www.jacksonstars.com/warren.pdf
Also supposedly Sam Ash is selling sometime a Warren DeMartini Dinky type Strat, probably with the 'French' graphiques on it!
http://www.samash.com/catalog/showitem.asp?ItemID=53342
Warren has allways been one I liked, and Ratt was made more tolerable, because of his cool Marshall fueled links.
He is another on my Metro/rockstah short list,to contact,to try a 12000 and leave the Marshalls at home!
Hope this helps,

And since we're scheming...
I take it this will be a "distortion" type guitar so I Highly recommend taking the tones out of the circuit with just a volume.
And going one more step, if it is distortion, stainless steel strinigs of your choice/grade from your favorite manufacturer....
Hope the Painy Job come out tits.
Usin' laquer?
