hmmm
Don't forget. My stuff barely worked. The stuff I sold them I had repaired just well enough to get them through about a minute of test playing. I have been back almost a year lateer and the same stuff is still setting there. One of the guys that I sold some stuff to was a little pissed at me. Walked up to me and said that the amp needed alot of work and that they had to send it out. Also told me that they can't find a replacement tape for the Sireko. They thought Dunlop made one. Plus some other little junk. But they gave me 300 for an old Oahu amp that was shot, but it did make it through the audition for them to decide to buy it. It had to have a new PT in it and some circuit work. The Sireko tape broke on them later. So they were just trying to sell it for the nice preamp sound that the Sireko gives a guitars tone. They gave me 250 for the Sireko. It was bad and missing the cover and tape cover and made noise, I had lubed the Sireko before I took her in. Horrible. Plus sold them some pedals that I hated. I always make them price match, which they hate! I make them match all the way. Which means they have to loose the tax charge also. I have given hell to the local GCs. I have even had them price matching each other here. There are 5 within 30 miles of each other. Kirkland, Lynnwood, Seattle, Tukwila, Tacoma. I have gotten so much cool stuff for almost nothing. They have done mostly alot of custom ordering for me also for which they price match. They really hate me.
While my wife was in school I made them price match Academic versions of software. But then again I buy alot of stuff you guys around here don't. I have tons of soft synths and keyboard crap, sound samples, etc. etc..

Thats something you can do here too. I think theres 3 GC's local here and 3 more nearby plus Sam Ashes. In Chestnut Hill NJ there is a Sam Ash thta was in a strip mall and a GC opened up literally 4 doors down in the same strip mall. You could spit from one to the next. Oh man I bet the SM at that SA was pissed! But all you have to do to get the price you want is say the other stores name. 'Well..... Guitar Cent- ALTIGHT damnit Ill give it to you for 49% off'

j butler, both my parents were born in Brooklyn, NY., all their parents met in NY and my dad grew up in the Bronx and my mom in Hempstead, L.I.
Plus as Chief says I served time in Nassau and Suffolk counties and was glad to get out with my life
, so that kind of makes me more a New Yorker than most, though I was born and raised in Connecticut.
Plus I never forget to lock my car and say drawwer and various other NY pronnunciations, once you live there the accent lingers like a stain..

I've noticed that in a typical "NY" accent, the letter "R" is not pronounced, unless it is a dominant sound in the word. So words like "car" are pronounced "cau", or "door" is pronounced "dau". This is where "New Yawk" comes from. Saying "New Yo-R-k" is for folks from California. Except Chief!!yngwie308 wrote:Plus I never forget to lock my car and say drawwer and various other NY pronnunciations, once you live there the accent lingers like a stain..![]()
