"But at least the christian fanatics don't use their religion to justify killing people like the islamic fanatics do."

Texwest, you say that like the Crusades never even happened!

Well, I knew someone wouldn't like that. Anyway I'm talking about present day, not a thousand years ago. I didn't like the "guest" saying that killing people unnecessarily was "your president's job". This is an unneeded and hateful statement. The president represent's all of us and America isn't about killing people unnecessarily. Contrary to popular opinion and the press, 911 probably wasn't Bush's fault. Afterall he was only in office less than 8 months when it happened. It was more likely that Clinton dropped the ball by doing nothing about the first trade center bombing, the USS Cole attack and the two US embassy bombings in Africa. All of which happened during his tenure. I'm not sure where the Iraqi chemical weapons are, but I've seen the film footage of decimated villages in Kurdish Iraq and in Iran during the Iran- Iraq war. Places where Saddam actually used chemical weapons. Mustard gas to be specific. Nasty stuff. Bodies completely contorted because their muscles contract so hard it fractures all the major bones in the body. I've seen the film footage. So where are these weapons that were used? So before someone starts making cavalier statements that our president is responsible for unnecessary killing, maybe they should think about it a little bit. This is not black and white. Its complex. No easy answers really. Whether you agree with the president's policies or not, the situation in the world is very complex.

It seems to me there is alot of killing being done by people with a religious agenda or excuse these days. Christians don't seem to be doing it except a handful of wackos that have bombed abortion clinics several years ago. Read my last notice carefully. It seems that you didn't read the whole thing but just reacted to one part of it. And you quoted me out of context. To repeat what I said, I think we should be careful to condemn groups of people based on their religion. Most religious people ar good decent people. Its only the few fanatics that make the most noise and ruin it for everyone who are religious. I'm defending religious people and I don't practice anything! Tolerance would be a nice thing. Freedom is a good thing. The real problem is fanatics who want to force their way of life on others rather than "live and let live" They don't believe in freedon for others. They think their way of life is better than yours, so they want to force it on you. This is the opposite of freedom. The people who slam christians are just as bad as the other fanatics.

Dynaman, I don't think its necessary to condemn present day christians because of the actions of fanatics a thousand years ago.

So this will probably be the last time I state a political opinion on this forum because I have found that many people aren't willing to have honest debate without forming sore feelings. I like people and can be friends with them even if I totally disagree with them. So no hard feelings, Dynaman. Of course the lack of balls of the "guest" is annoying.

So let the gays be gay. Let the fanatics be fanatics. And your welcome to disagree with me and think I'm a jerk. But we have to be vigilant to defend our liberty from the fanatics on the Left and the Right of the political spectrum. Live Free Man

He seen them recently and said before the show everyone was like I can't believe Rob is gay. Then he came out and sang and nobody cared anymore.

I say 'to each his own'...just as long as ya keeper to yerself!!!
George... your bud and all the other big JP fans, {myself inc}the signs were there 'back in the day'. When you think about it, how many Priest {written by Rob H.} lyrics are about gettin' some from the ladies?? Seems there was an 'underlying current' going on there...would you agree??
Doesn't make a bit of difference, though, what RH's ""tastes"" are, cause when I hear an album like 'Screamin'.... I remember what a groundbreaker it was, and still stands the test of time!!

Sorry about the long rant, I was a little drunk last night. I was a huge priest fan in the late 70's when I was around 14. This was before they made their huge popular splash. The topic we're discussing didn't make any difference then. Back then, we didn't have Metallica yet and Van Halen had just come out. Priest, UFO, Sabbath and the Scorpions were the heaviest shit out there and it was cool.

Yes I'm old school I guess. I first saw Eddie in 1980. He had 12 4x12's onstage four rows stacked three high. The main thing I remember was the rest of teh band left the stage and he did solo eruption style stuff for about 15 minutes. I also saw UFO but by that point schenker had left the band. The new lead guitar player was getting sick on stage and pucking on the side of the stage and then right when he was done pucking, he and the lead singer did a little peck of a kiss in front of everyone. I'm sure no one thought they were gay. It was just a bit of nasty showmanship to make everyone grossed out.
By the way I also saw Randy Rhoads with Ozzy during this period.
