Just learned of this and am In Total Shock! - Mark was a good friend and I was planning on seeing him this coming Friday at his show in KC. - You will be missed brother! - I'm sick to my stomach and at a loss for words!.. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, fiance and the Starship band members.

I saw this on facebook early this afternoon from a mutual friend and the Ultimate Classic Rock page. There has been a dark cloud hanging over me since I read this.

When I was preparing to build my amp, as well as during my build, I used Mark's threads and some personal communication to build the amp I had always wanted. I'm still considering adding the mod5 but I'm not sure right now.

As you all know Mark was in great shape, that's why this was so shocking. From what I have read he had been having chest pains. I'm still in shock.

RIP Rockstah! You will be missed by many.

PS - If anyone finds out what funeral home will be taking care of Mark please post it here so we can all send our condolances through their website.

Been a bit of a stranger to this board for a few years now...not much playing time with some other things going on in life. But that said, got word Mark had passed today and it brought me back here to see / seek what all us other VH-tone chasers were saying/thinking/reflecting on Mark.

One things for sure - he had a vision, he knew what he wanted, and he was a damn good player. I know some folks had some bad dealings with him but that is all in the past now.

Maybe this was the kick in the ass I needed to start playing again...hopefully some good will come out of the bad.

RIP Rockstah...you will be missed.

Thats totally what I don't get. He looked in awesome shape-no way did I know he was that age. But still his age isn't very old for somethin like this.
Still in disbelief over this

RIP Mark. Always enjoyed his posts and he was a phenomenal player.

The Mod5 he put in eFraser's JCM800 is still one of my favourite sounds on this forum.

This is very sad news indeed. Mark has a long history on this board. He was one of the more active, participating members for a long time
