ADWARE!!!
Im so pissed off right now I think I could murder someone. These fucking adware programs keep installing themselves on my computer slowing not only my browser but my entire machine. Im constantly uninstalling them, deleting them from my autostart directory and closing them from Task Manager. Im just completely fucking pissed right now. Theres one on my machine somewhere that keeps loading 100 autostart files and when I delete them they just come back and when I restart their all installed all over again. I run Ad-Ware deleting programs and Virus programs but they arent doing shit. I run a firewall. This just seems so illegal to me. I think I could actually kill someone right now if I knew them to make these programs for a living.
I have no idea how their getting in either. Sometimes I think its my ISP. Does anyone know any way I can stop this BS!!! A good program to rout it out or something?!?!?

in addition to ad-aware, you need spyware blaster, and spybot search and destroy. these programs are all free, and update very often. also, you might have a program like kazaa or something that is putting this garbage on your computer. you are justified in your anger, the people who orchestrate these things are truly sick individuals who truly have no mercy in their souls..

safe mode
You might have to actually run both SpyBot and AdAware in safe mode to clear everything out. Another one to try is CWShredder. Another thing to try is using the Mozilla/Firefox browser to help avoid further infection. This stuff is insidious - make sure you download the latest updates from you anti-spy/adware programs. Some, like SpyBot, can immunize you against all known problems. Some of it you need to have some IT knowledge to get rid of. I came across one at work today that had a registry entry you couldn't even delete in safe mode as domain administrator. I had to take ownership of each level of the key one at a time before I could even get rights to delete it. Arrrggghhh!!!

Thanks guys. Im doing these things now.
What a worthless existance writing this programing for a living. This is 1000x worse then a telemarketer.
Ive always dealt with this stuff but it seems the last month its just been relentless. For some reason recently the levee bust with all this crap. Its so bad I cant use my PC. I have to shut everything down and go root it out only to know itll be back. Ughh..... Its killing me. I dont know who to be more mad at. The programers or the mindless people who this stuff works on. It has to work or noone would spend money developing it.
Wheres the hackers who get annoyed with this stuff and decide to destroy the systems of the companies who devope these things? Vigilante justice!!! I suppose they know how to keep it away.
Thanks
Dan

Just to let you guys know, I have had nothing but problems with Spyware Blaster. It works good for about 2-3 weeks then things start to slow down. Low and behold, its spyware. Just the thing that SB is supposed to keep off your computer.
Billy download a program called Hijack this, install this and run it and keep the logs somewhere on your computer. As you go through and get rid of some of the spyware do a hijack this log after everytime you run a spyware remover. It will let you know whats running on your computer including whats going on in the registry.
Some of these shitty spyware programs will distribute themselves throughout your system with a single registry entry that ties them al together. really insideus coding. You will probably have to find that lone registry entry and delete that.
go here http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ run the free scan. post what it finds here Ill be here off and on all night I can help you out if I can. I seem to be a magnet for spyware and have gotten fairly good at getting rid of it. You can also pm me a hijack this log I can help from there as well.

Thanks everyone. Im embarassed to admit I havent stayed on top of the spyware thing. Im usually on top of this stuff but I kind of always thought the spyware stuff was BS. Mostly because everyone talks about AdAware and that alone wasnt doing it. I did like you guys said. I rand a few of those things in safe mode and I seem to be OK. Spybot seemed to be really good. Ill check some of the other ones out as well.
I know what you mean Nec. I delete one thing after another to see it come back and I know somethings buried deep somewhere that Im not finding. Ill try your stuff out. Thanks.
Thanks again
Dan

Hey guys, I just followed the advice in the article at Download.com. They suggest downloadeing a scanner called Bazooka Scanner. It doesnt interact or delete anything. It just does a complete scan then gives you a list of spyware on your machine. You can click on the name of the spyware and it connects you to a site that gives you all the info on the program you could want. All the associated file names and types to do a windows search, steps to deleting all facets of the program in your registry, and alternate ways to get rid of things that are being tough. I was able to route out the Ware that kept reinstalling itself. It was deep in the reg and it kept installing itself as different programs all over the place. I deleted those secondary files but theyd just keep comming back. Im crossing my fingers now.
Thanks for all your help tho. Im safe to browse porn sites again.

Same here. Wasnt there some law against that? Its called a mouse trap or something right? Thats when windows keep poping up and you cant close them with the mouse and they keep rerouting you to websites which may auto download and install programs to your machine. Learn the hot keys so you can close the windows with the keyboard or else youll have to use task manager to shut down the program. I could swear I heard that was illegal.Necrovore wrote:I've never had that happen unless I was on a porn site. So, Shane what site were you on so I know to avoid that one.Country Boy Shane wrote:Now i'm being bombarded! 20 random IE windows opening at the same time! Sounds more like a virus...
