What kind of Coffee do you drink?

Post by mightymike » Mon Feb 19, 2007 11:34 am

I'm a 8'O'Clock whole Bean (not preground) Colombian kinda guy.
http://www.eightoclock.com/products/whole.asp
It's the only coffee I can drink without sugar.

It cost half of what the Fancy brands cost and tastes the best to me.
So what do you like?

At home Nabob Medium Roast...

But of course if you ever visit Canada please do yourself a favor and visit a Tim Horton's - their coffee is the kind of coffee that will make you thank the coffee bean gods!

BTW, they have some Tim Horton's franchises in the US as well.

I've been on business trips in Canada where we meet with US consultants and so forth. When they are in Canada they make it a point to get their Tim's fix as it were.

...mmm think I'll go for one now! :D

I never touch the stuff. I think I'm hyper-sensitive to caffiene or something. One cup of coffee and I can't sleep that night.

By the time I'm done loading coffee with enough cream and sugar that I like it, I could just as easily have a cup of cream and sugar and skip the beans altogether.

I buy whatever is on sale for daily drinking. Usually Folgers or Maxwell House. I grind the beans and to all of that "special" stuff for guests.

LOL

Well as for me the frenchman, I like expresso, I prefer double expresso in a cup, with extra water so I don't have only 2 sips only....

As for brand well I'm a snob on that also, I can't drink instant coffee, I need the real stuff, like a mixture of Moca Java (colombien) and darker or black beans, like a puerto rican coffee.... Mountain bleu is the most expensive coffee out there (Jamaica) but I don't like that much, 1 lbs of that coffe (the beans) will cost you $over 50 buck here...

Hey Mick you had strong coffee yesterday at that other board....lol but it all ended nicelly, you made us all proud man!!! Marshall rules!!

ok yes 50 bucks for that Jamaican coffee... But it is to smooth on the taste for me, its brown colored I prefer the darker beans but brown or black they are full of caffeine........

I have an expresso machine with a top of the line grinder, that set cost me over $1000 bucks... Rancilio it is.... nice little devil and that grinder can cut the coffee beans like a powder, turkish coffee, that will make you go  with the shakes for the next 12hr non stop.........

   Guilty as charged.

I love to eat and live healthy.
I just quit smoking a week ago Friday, and have lost 10 pounds since.
So I'm kinda Gung Ho about it right now.

How's this for old fart?:
I'm on day 8 of 14 of one of those whole body detox/flush programs right now with Fiber , and Milk Thisltle, to where it cleans the liver, and many organs of all the preservatives , and chemicals that are in processed food. (maybe even the Cafeine from my coffee, that I should probably stop drinking when I'm on the detox programs) But I'd go crazy if I tried to quit Coffee right now. One thing at a time.

I even bought that Amazing Medical Secrets book from TV.

I got to tell you I feel more alert, and energetic, and beat my son and his 14 year old friend in a race from the car to the mall doors, (500 yard sprint) and i had them beat, for most of the way, till the very end, and his friend caught up at the last 10 ft.

But hey, I'm turning 41 in couple weeks, and haven't worked out in a couple years.

Give a couple more weeks, and they will eat my dust.
