Thats crazy sounding, really crazy. Reminds me of that Sean Penn movie. No one lick is so outrageous, it's the whole of it. Gypsy Bluegrass or something.

Then I guess Jango R. would be the 1st best ? Maybe thats why all those acoustic shredders hands look so fucked up when they play, mimicking Rhienhart or something. Master's Mark or something ? Either way, great playing.

Jimmy is simply an awesome player, one of worlds best I think. At the age of 12 he already played with Stevie Wonder for instance.

@ ToneSlinger; those licks ARE outrageous!!! ;)

From what I saw from an interview with him the record company actually gave him a 5 million dollar advance and sent hiom on tour! The only flaw in the plan was YOU CAN'T GIVE FIVE MILLION DOLLARS ALL AT ONCE TO A GYPSY. He says he spent the next five years incredibly high only touching the guitar ten times or so.

Mike
Never settle for an amp thats smaller then you are.

That's actually true. BUT he spent most of the money giving it away to people living on the streets....the rest he invested in cars (while not even have a drivers license) and drugs. But he's a fantastic player!

And Django did it with two fingers! When Les Paul says Django is HIS hero that says it all.

Apples and oranges, as far as Ed and Jimmy. I'll take "Spanish Fly" to any other solo acoustic Piece I've ever heard though.
