Bummer ... I just got layed off

:(

Been with the company 10 years and survived 3 years of layoffs. Finally came down to outsourcing all of our creative department. Looks like a lot of my bigger gear purchases are going to be on hold.

More time for tweaking! :D

Luckily I have a lot of folks looking out for me so I shouldn't have too much trouble finding contract work. I've always been a believer in good karma, so being a good person has payed off and I think that karma is coming my way.

5'm just happy that you're taking it well and have some prospects to keep you busy and out of bankruptcy. If I lost my job I'd be totally screwed. Best of luck with whatever comes next for you!!

Sorry to hear that, Chris. I can send you some work soon.
I'll need you to layout the instructions for the JTM 45 and 50 watt kits.

gnugear,

Sorry to hear about that, hang in there man.

I worry about that all the time but nobody should have to.

My brother-in-law just got laid off from Qualcomm after 5 years due to outsourcing of his job to India.

I was the art director at a software company. Did lots of cool projects from brochures, tradeshows, videos, web, and multi media.
