Hey Ruben,

Nice to see some fellow dutch musicians on this forum. Akkerman is one of the best our country has ever had, it must be really cool to be sharing the stage with him, even though you're becoming quite a big name yourself.

Here's another hero, and one of my teachers, you probably know him through your dad, he replaced Akkerman in Focus a long time ago, Eef Albers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1lqyHXERUs

keep up the good work man, there's not enough blues in holland

Damn ! that was good tone, Ruben's that is. What plexi specs are you using, as I cant remember. Great Gibson/Marshall tone(I take it that you werent using the Vox on that) That fusion cat was also real good. Managed to not get overly boring, as less gifted players in that genre do.

Eef is really an amazing and nice person. I don't know him that well, only met him once and we've been talking on the phone. Jeez, what a technique he has... I wpuld like to see him play. Shoot me a PM if you have any dates where he's playing!

Thanks dude.
The Marshall is a stock Plexi Superbass ('67), modded by Tone Guru Lex Bos from the Netherlands to lead specs. B+ is 426. I only had the amp for a couple of months when doing this gig, and the sound was already there.
But now, after the work of Lex, this thing has turned into a Rock 'n Roll MONSTER ;) Best amp I've had. No need for od pedals, just a Boss GE-10, a Electro Harmonix Memory Man and a Korg SDD3000.

I also upgrated my 4X12 with pre-rola's. On the recording you hear 4 Blackbacks AND the '64 AC30 TB.
