How in the fuck do i get a good looking avatar? 6KB is shitty quality.

I think the point is that you don't. bulliten boards take up some hellish space in the hosting space database. Add to that everyone having an avatar you eat up disk space pretty quick. I can't speak for George, but the website my wife runs has a messageboard on it. no avatars are allowed due to that specific reason.
