Yes, this version of the Edgar Winter Band was the best.
I had the single version of "Free Ride" written by Dan Hartman,but it has the different guitar solo by Rick Derringer,different than the album version,looser, more funky, a dog chewed it up as well as my cowboy boots on the Island

, but on Edgar Winter's Greatest Hits CD, lo and behold, that version...cool.
Rick had a lot to do with this arrangement of Frankenstein, a classic rock tune. I have the Roadwork double LP from Edgar, classic Rick Derringer, especially Tobbaco Road .

sweet! i remember seeing them on "in concert" & midnight special. loved the old arp 2600. frankenstein is still a masterpiece of synth work & always will be as far as i'm concerned.
