Remember the Queen 'Live Killers' album?
The most entertaining rock band in the world are on that album.
In fact, I will go as far as to say that had Queen been on this side of the pond we'd be on the Vox forum right now making Vox replicas!
That guitar sound of May's (one this record especially) is the British equivalent of EVH's sound on VH1.
The band at that time were killers indeed!

I got a chance to meet Brain May backstage after a Queen gig at Madison Square Garden. I told him that I admired his playing, tone, song writing, blah, blah and he seemed more interested in what I did. He wanted to know what I played, what amps, effects, etc! A really classy guy with no (Ed) ego or rock star personna at all. Now Freddy on the other hand... that man was a character truly larger than life

I have alot of Brian May bootlegs, and one in particular is 10 songs from the BBC from the mid. 70's
They did Brighton Rock and it is simply amazing...
Brian May is a massive talent but, I never really noticed Roger Taylor until just recently going back and listening to thier stuff.
He is a Bad-Ass drummer kinda has some Ginger Baker stuff going on.
Brian May' s tone is as elusive as Eddie's tone.

Yep. Brian is a stud git fiddler. I remember "discovering" Queen in the mid 70s. Bohemian Rhapsody hit the airwaves and I didn't know the name of the song so I just kept buying Queen albums until I found it. Ended up with everything up the A Night At The Opera and never regretted it. There's some kickbutt stuff on every one of those early albums.

The first concert I ever went to was Queen with Thin Lizzy as the opening act! I've seen a lot of good shows, but that one was one of the best. Phil
