Yeah, that's us. Flint is always in the top (or bottom) 5 of the 300 worst cities list.

I figure when I finally do relocate, anywhere will be a huge improvement.

It's not that bad, you just have to know where not to go.

Yep I was down in Nawleans a year and a half ago and the guys on the outskirts of town where we were working by the airport told us not to go downtown yet. Probably better now

A lot of those studies that come out every year are just totals as well. How can they really make a determination like taht when all they have are number totals so I guess Im a critic of that analysis. As far as per capita homicide Camden, Little Rock and Reading are always chart toppers but I dont think any are more then 75k pop? Philly leads the US this year in total homicides (nearly 400 so far from last I heard) but like most places they happen all in one or 2 sections mostly so its not really a dangerous city. When I pass through Camden however, to see a concert at the Tweeter Center.... I think my odds of getting from point A to point B, while not even leaving my car, and staying alive are... not as high as one would like. :?

Here's one of Philly's Mayor's more interesting solutions

Good luck. The odds of that not causing more murders is not good. 10,000 targets is a better name

Just do what they do in Arizona, let everyone that wants to, and hasn't commited a felony, carry a concealed weapon.

It's really hard to know who to robe, assualt or murder when you don't know who's packing heat.

I remember Dade, then Broward county in the top worst in the early-90s around the time I left FL. Hell, that's where COPS originated....I remember talking to one of the BSOs (Broward County Sheriff's Officer) who was on one of the initial episodes....came into the bookstore I worked at.

Ahhhh, everywhere has got it's good and bad areas (depending on your definition!). You just gotta know which are the ones you really don't want to get caught or stuck in. It's really f'n bad nowadays though. Used to be you caught a beatin' and maybe gave one back. Now you get your ass shot up like Sonny Corleone wihtout even knowing why or not even see it comin' like Tony S! The moral decay....

Michigan allows non felons to carry a concealed weapon after you pass all the courses and have not had any high misdemeanors as well and many other things on their LONG list of offences of which I believe some of it is to the benefit for the safety of citizens, others are just ridicules IMO, Chad

Basically, the city of Detroit itself. I lived all over the west side for 25 years and can honestly say the town is a huge ghetto.
